Stickers from Around the World

Best Used for: Just for Fun, Suitcases, Laptops

Yes, this is absolutely a thing as stickers have been popular in the last few years! You can search online for ‘travel’ or ‘adventure’ stickers & you will have tons of options to choose from!

→ Why this is a great gift:

Stickers are SO. MUCH. FUN! There, I said it. Stickers are so much fun.

They are small & can be put on any good flat surface & they will last for years! Think about it, people always want to show others what they are made of, & if traveling is part of their lifestyle, why not show that off too!?

A small sticker can be placed on their laptop, journals, or water bottles & it does not create any clutter. This is the perfect gift to give along with other travel-related items, or just by itself as a stocking stuffer!

Travel or Adventure Journal

Best Used for: Personal Growth

I think we can all agree that traveling helps you grow into a better version of yourself.

But many of us don’t acknowledge it to the full extent of what it should be. That is because we don’t actually sit down to think about it & process what the change means for us!

Doing it mentally definitely has its advantages but writing it solidifies it & allows you to organize your thoughts to better understand who we are in connection to travel.

So if you think your friend may be into writing & sharing their stories while traveling or hiking/camping, then a travel or adventure journal is the absolutely right thing to gift!

Hardcover Travel Journal for Solo Female Travelers

My newest travel journal is up on the shop!

→ Why it is a good gift:

Personal growth is one of the most incredible gifts someone can give to themselves but…it’s not always the easiest.

We are human beings that have a need to rely on others to give us that push. So, if you can be that friend to gift them something to inspire them to thrive in personal growth while traveling the world or exploring their nearest National Park, why not do it?

You might think “it’s just a notebook”, but hey, sometimes the simplest things have the greater impact. Always remember that!

→ Ideas:

A Travel or Adventure Journal can be as simple or fancy as you need! Find out what kind of style your friend or family member has & then search for a journal that reflects them!

A simple journal may look like an 5.5x8” hardcover, bound notebook with the title “Travel Journal” on the cover; while a fancier journal may be personalized with the giftee’s initials or have a special quote, & be bounded with fake leather or vinyl.

Patches of Cities They’ve Been To (or are going to!)

Best Used for: Style

A while back, I saw this post on Instagram of a girl sowing patches of flags from countries she had visited on her denim jacket.

Like I’m not going to lie…I thought that was the COOLEST idea I had seen someone do to wear as a statement piece when out & about!

→ Why is it a good gift:

Patches, just like stickers, can be found in different sizes & shapes, & they are small enough that they don’t create clutter.

It is also a thoughtful gift because it shows that you know how much traveling & exploring means to the person you want to gift it to.

The patches can be sown on any type of fabric & can be worn on jackets, backpacks or purses! What a fun way for someone to stylize their wardrobe!

→ Ideas:

Patches can be sown or ironed but make sure you know which option you pick & let the giftee know so they know how to use it!

Get as many flag patches or patches that represent a location (country, city, or National Park) & wrap them up.

Another options would be to sow them yourself onto a jacket or a tote bag & gift it with other travel-related items.

Camping or Enamel Mugs

Another ‘proof’ that I’m still working on but excited to put up on the shop sometime soon!

Best Used for: Everyday Use

This is certainly more appropriate for hikers and campers but travelers may also find it useful to have an enamel mug!

Personally, I love mugs of all kinds & when I travel for an extended period of time, a favorite travel mug is the first thing I look for to make myself feel more at home wherever I am!

→ Why is it a good gift:

Enamel Mugs are small, compact & can handle hot & cold drinks!

They are also easy to clean & don’t break when dropped or smashed into a backpack during a camping trip.

They can also be personalized to fit the giftee’s personality or interests!

→ Ideas:

Gift an enamel mug that is personalized, whether that is with an illustration that represents them or with a travel/adventure quote.

You can gift this along with other travel-related items.

The enamel mug could also have a specific location where the giftee has been or is planning to go in the near future!

Passport Holder with Battery Charger

Best Used for: Practicality and Efficiency

Technology is so amazing but what’s even MORE amazing is how people come up with ideas on how to make it compact & practical.

Such example is the passport holder with a battery charger included!

If you are thinking “Okay, why would they need that. They could probably just put it all in their backpack”, then I’d just say you probably don’t know that people sometimes like to make their life a bit more complicated than it has to be 😤.

Me included!

In the unspeakable chaos of airport rushing, having it all in one place can be a lifesaver!

The last thing you want is to be carrying a battery charger with a cable & your passport & documents all in your hands & accidentally drop your visa paper somewhere without noticing (true story).

→ Why is it a good gift:

It’s not expensive & it’s practical for travelers to keep the most important travel documents in one secure place.

Some travelers are stubborn & think they don’t need this but if you want to be their guardian angel sent straight from the Heavens, then gift them this & watch them be astonished.

Their face will lit up and say ‘this existed this whole time?!?’. The joy of gifting them something they didn’t know they need is quite a thrill.

→ Ideas:

This gift is a bit in the higher price range so it can be gifted all on its own.

Consider buying it personalized or with a color scheme that matches the giftee’s style!

If you have a lot more cash to spare and want to make it part of a bigger gift, then consider gifting it with a surprise trip somewhere.

To see what I’m talking about, check out my personal favorite: Lovie Style’s passport holder! (Please note this is my personal recommendation & I don’t receive any commissions through this link).

Backpacks & Luggage

Best Used for: Ultimate Travel Experience

Okay, let’s talk about the real deal; all travel or hiking/camping is done with a backpack or luggage in hand.

And although an old bag can last for years, it’s possible that ‘updated’ bags will make travel or outdoor experiences much more enjoyable.

Gifting a backpack or luggage could easily be out of your gifting range but think about the benefits. It literally allows someone to travel more comfortably!

For example, when traveling, good luggage will allow travelers to swiftly roll their bags from terminal to terminal & they will easily fit in the overhead compartment.

As for outdoor activities, a good backpack will be weatherproof, easy to clean & still hold whatever necessities are needed for the trip.

→ Why it is a good gift:

It’s rare for someone to buy luggage for someone else, period.

One reason may be because people don’t know when, or if, others travel. Another reason may be because they might feel that gifting luggage is like gifting socks. Not that exciting, right?

But the good news is that I promise you there’s a deep love for a good pair of socks as an adult & it’s just as strong towards a good quality backpack/luggage.

It can also help the giftee feel inspired to take that trip or hiking adventure they’ve been meaning to take.

→ Ideas:

For inspiration, search up:

  • hard-shell, rolling suitcases

  • weekender travel bags

  • camping backpacks

  • hiking packs

  • anti-theft backpacks

  • day travel backpacks
